The MDF board (MDF = Medi­um-Den­si­ty Fibre­board) is an opti­miza­tion of con­ven­tion­al chip­board and has a vol­ume den­si­ty of approx. 680 – 800 kg/​m3. Very fine wood is defibered length­wise and cross­wise. The MDF pan­els are par­tic­u­lar­ly suit­able as a stage screen. The plate has good mechan­i­cal strength and a flat, uni­form sur­face, which means it has a wide range of pos­si­ble uses.
