The new Decimator MD-HX is a compact HDMI & SDI cross converter (down- & upscaling) that enables frame rate conversion.
The MD-HX is controlled either via USB from a Mac/Windows computer or directly via the button control with LCD display on the MD-HX. Decimator Design is an Australian company that specializes in solutions for the video broadcast sector and is known for its striking red hardware. The Decimator MD-HX is a device with an aluminum housing that has an easy-to-use LCD display and a button control system.

3G Level A and B are supported for both input and output, and conversion between A and B is possible.
Horizontal and/or vertical image reversal via the built-in scaler

The robust aluminum housing is equipped with a user-friendly LCD display and buttons.
4 x (3G/HD/SD) SDI outputs, allowing the device to be used as a 1 to 4 distribution amplifier; output pair 1 can either copy the SDI input (standard) or correspond to pair 2
The audio pairs in the SDI and HDMI outputs can be rearranged as required.
Using the same down-to-cross converter as the MD-DUCC, the HDMI or SDI input can be scaled and/or the frame rate converted to the desired standard.
