L-ACOUSTICS X8 coaxial speaker

The X8 is a coaxial speaker for live monitoring and sound reinforcement over short distances with minimal optical interference. It consists of a pressure chamber driver with a 1.5-inch cone, which is mounted coaxially on an 8-inch woofer and housed with it in a bass-reflex enclosure. L-Vents as reflex openings reduce turbulence and noise at high levels and increase efficiency in the low frequency range. The X8 operates between 60 Hz and 20 kHz. The coaxial arrangement of its speakers and the partial horn ensure an even sound distribution over 100 degrees without side lobes across the entire frequency range. The integrated passive crossover uses individually adjusted filters. The L-Drive parameters of the L-Acoustics controller power amplifiers also ensure linearization and protection of the speakers.

Flawless sound quality and acoustic signature are achieved by distributing L-Acoustics SPL and LF resources at the FOH position or in control rooms. The wide, conical polar pattern is distributed throughout the room.
