REAL PA SOUND FROM A COMPACT MONITOR.

The X8 is a coax­i­al speak­er for live mon­i­tor­ing and sound rein­force­ment over short dis­tances with min­i­mal opti­cal inter­fer­ence. It con­sists of a pres­sure cham­ber dri­ver with a 1.5‑inch cone, which is mount­ed coax­i­al­ly on an 8‑inch woofer and housed with it in a bass-reflex enclo­sure. L‑Vents as reflex open­ings reduce tur­bu­lence and noise at high lev­els and increase effi­cien­cy in the low fre­quen­cy range. The X8 oper­ates between 60 Hz and 20 kHz. The coax­i­al arrange­ment of its speak­ers and the par­tial horn ensure an even sound dis­tri­b­u­tion over 100 degrees with­out side lobes across the entire fre­quen­cy range. The inte­grat­ed pas­sive crossover uses indi­vid­u­al­ly adjust­ed fil­ters. The L‑Drive para­me­ters of the L‑Acoustics con­troller pow­er ampli­fiers also ensure lin­eariza­tion and pro­tec­tion of the speakers.

Flaw­less sound qual­i­ty and acoustic sig­na­ture are achieved by dis­trib­ut­ing L‑Acoustics SPL and LF resources at the FOH posi­tion or in con­trol rooms. The wide, con­i­cal polar pat­tern is dis­trib­uted through­out the room.
